Spring breeze.

Very busy preparing the Zwarte Valk for the new season. Loads of wooden parts have been taken of to be sanded and varnished. What could be taken of we took home for the winter. Amongst that the name-plates.

Come March we will be in the drydocks for about a week.

Every four years the ship needs to be inspected. To make sure the hull is still thick enough and the holes underwater are still watertight. Best thing for us; the ship can be painted!

The masts have to be inspected every seven years, so they are allright for the moment. Furthermore we got inspections for security, the liquid-gas-installation, the fire-extinguishers, the fire-alarm and the rigging.
